The Weber S330 comes complete with comprehensive pictorial instructions that are designed to make construction simple. Different colored nuts and bolts make identifying the one you need a snap. This was the opinion of most customers, however, a handful of buyers found the pictorial instructions confusing. Most people managed to assemble the entire grill in just a couple of hours.
Many customers did comment that there a numerous sharp edges to contend with during construction and weren’t pleased at the fact that the entire chassis is constructed from sheet metal. People who noticed this were concerned about the longevity and durability of the grill.
Some customers were displeased with the quality of the stainless-steel, which they found to mark really easily, while other buyers found that the grill components rusted readily when left uncovered during periods of inclement weather.
Cooking on the Weber S330
Most people were very impressed with the cooking ability of the Weber S330 stainless-steel liquid propane grill. Only a few customers reported any problems with the push button ignition system, and none reported problems with regulators or hoses.
The Weber S330 is quick to get up to temperature, which is visible with the built-in temperature gauge. Customers were pleased with the accuracy of this equipment, and commented that it made cooking their desired food nearly effortless. These people were also impressed with the Sear station, which has been reported as getting up to 700 degrees Fahrenheit in a matter of minutes.
Temperature control has been cited as being easy, and lifting or closing the lid can increase or decrease the cooking temperature by as much as 200 degrees Fahrenheit in under half a minute.
Some customers have complained that using this grill is very heavy on fuel consumption, but that the fuel gauge gives them an accurate measurement of how much fuel they have remaining.
Another issue seems to be that the sides of the firebox are made from plastic, and some customers have found that these sides melt, especially when cooking at higher temperatures over a longer period of time. Similarly, customers have complained that the grease management system leaks frequently, leaving a large mess down the sides of the grill unit.
