ReviewSpecification

Overall, feedback about the Weber Q220 has been good. People are pleased with how the grill looks and found it very easy to set up and dismantle. They also commented that it was perfect for use on condominium balconies where, legally, a full sized grill is not allowed.

This grill comes with two plastic folding tables, which provide additional food preparation areas. Some people have stated, however, that they would have prepared these table to be constructed from metal rather than plastic. It all comes down to personal preference.

Some buyers have commented that the unit is poorly constructed, and with substandard parts. An example of this is that one customer stated that the two tables shattered while the unit was stored in a box.

People seem very pleased with the lightweight nature of this grill, and have said that it is extremely easy to move around.

Cooking on the Weber Q220

Customers, on the whole, seem pleased with the cooking performance of this grill. Sear marks are evident when the cooking temperature has reached the desired level, which can be viewed on the lid’s in-built temperature gauge. People have complained that the rear burner ‘loop’ very seldom lights, and that the grill never gets up above 350 degrees Fahrenheit even after thorough cleaning.

Some buyers have also complained that the porcelain enameled cast-iron cooking grate is difficult to remove and is difficult to clean. However, the removable drip pan seems to be a feature that everyone likes.

The lack of Weber’s ‘Flavorizer’ bars has been a concern with people who have bought this grill. They have said that the meat doesn’t come out as flavorful as that which has been cooked on a grill with a ‘Flavorizer bar.

Other complaints about this unit include faulty bell regulators, faulty push button ignition systems, and connector hose issue, but these seem to be exception rather than the norm.

One final complaint is that this grill appears rusted after only a few uses, and when stored in a dry place. As is typical with any grill, following the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule can help with standard wear and tear issues.
