Overall, customers felt that every piece of the Weber Genesis S310 stainless-steel liquid propane grill was robust, aesthetically pleasing, and constructed of the highest quality materials. These customers also thought that Weber had put a lot of attention into the details of this grill, which had resulted in a superior quality product.
People were also impressed with the ease at which the grill could be assembled. Assembly times of two hours to four hours were reported, and some customers went so far as to say that it was a fun experience; the instructions were easy to follow, and construction was like assembling a big jigsaw puzzle. Some people did complain that the large instruction manual was completely made up of images, and not text, making it difficult to follow. The same customers also stated that, due to the large quantity of parts, construction was a little bit intimidating. A handful of customers warned not to tighten all the nuts and bolts up until everything is perfectly aligned.
Cooking on the Weber Genesis S310
The majority of customers using the Weber Genesis S310 stainless-steel liquid propane grill were remarkably impressed by the results it yielded. The ‘Flavorizer’ bars have been reported as producing succulent, smoky flavors throughout food prepared on this grill. People were also pleased with the food preparation areas mounted to each side of the main cooking area. Divided between cooking area and warming rack, the 637 square inch stainless-steel cooking area seems ample when catering for larger groups of people.
Buyers were impressed at the consistently even heat distribution over the entire cooking area and reported fast warm up times. The push button battery-operated ignition system seems reliable, and there have been few complaints regarding this component.
The fuel gauge has been cited as a useful feature, as has the built-in thermometer, about which customers have commented on its reliability and accuracy. Overall, this unit seems to provide timeable, repeatable results.
However, not everyone who has bought this unit agrees. Many customers have found fault with the fact that the sides of the unit are not built from stainless-steel and mark easily. Other complaints include the vest slots that are cut into the side and back of the unit. This seems to readily allow rainwater to gather inside the hideaway area beneath the main cooking area. Several customers have also reported several premature rusting issues with a variety of parts, however, these complaints are definitely the exception rather than the rule.
